Xiaojun Ding is an Associate Professor in the Department of Philosophy at Xi’an Jiaotong University, China. Her scholarly work spans several philosophical disciplines, including Philosophical Practice, Philosophy of Technology, Moral Psychology, Logic, and Epistemology. She is particularly noted for her contributions to Philosophical Counseling and Therapy, where she has significantly influenced both theoretical frameworks and practical applications.
Ding has authored over 50 research articles in prestigious journals, tackling complex topics such as the ethics of artificial intelligence and the role of philosophical practice in mental health. Her interdisciplinary approach merges moral psychology, epistemology, and philosophy of science, focusing on the practical implementation of philosophical insights to address contemporary societal challenges.
Additionally, Ding has secured numerous competitive research grants from national and provincial social science foundations, supporting her innovative work on human-robot interaction, AI’s philosophical implications, and the advancement of philosophical counseling methods rooted in analytic philosophy and traditional Chinese philosophy.
Beyond her research and teaching, Ding is deeply involved in the academic community.
