I am an APPA-certified philosophical counsellor based in Toronto. I am going to receive training in spiritually-integrated psychotherapy at University of Alberta in 2024.

Previously, I earned a BSc in psychology from HKU and an MA in philosophy from CUHK, where I studied both Western and Eastern philosophies equally. I also studied Buddhism directly with monks at the monastery and have been practicing Vipassana meditation since 2019. Alongside my service, I am devoted to my own spiritual practice and the research on multicultural worldviews. I believe it is metaphysically therapeutic for us to have a holistic framework where the Self (psychology), the Divine (religion), the Other (ethics) can be understood together.

I have spent a lot of time in existential crisis, spiritual darkness, confusion, disorientation, feeling lost, wrestling with conflicting worldviews and value systems. According to the 10,000-hour rule, I am an expert on these issues. I am a fraud if I say I have it all figured out, and you are a fool if you believe it. But if you are experiencing similar difficulties, I can be your guiding companion for the challenging parts of your journey. That being said, I am not here to make it easier for you, because that’s impossible. It’s possible however to make it more enjoyable.

P.S. I speak Cantonese and Mandarin too.
