| Description |
I am a certified philosophical counselor with formal training in philosophical practice and over a decade of experience working with individuals, groups, and organizations in advisory capacities. My work integrates philosophical rigor with real-world complexity, supporting clients in navigating high-stakes decisions, ethical dilemmas, and identity-defining transitions. The immediate aim is to engage the current problem; the enduring purpose is to nurture a sustained philosophical way of thinking. I taught Philosophy for twelve years at public and private universities in Mexico, where I specialized in ethics, critical thinking, and contemporary social thought. Internationally, I have advised an NGO in Colombia during its engagement in the national peace process, consulted for an organization in Spain dedicated to the dignity and rights of migrants, I further collaborated with a Latino community organization in Washington, D.C., supporting the preparation of meetings with members of the U.S. Congress, and currently serve in Thailand as the founding president of the first officially recognized community organization of Mexican residents. My consulting approach is structured yet adaptive. I design personalized Philosophical Counseling processes that address the full architecture of decision-making: beliefs, values, assumptions, emotional dynamics, lived experience, long-term objectives, identity construction, and narrative coherence. The immediate goal is to clarify and resolve the presenting issue. The broader objective is to strengthen the client’s capacity for autonomous judgment, reflective agency, and sustained philosophical awareness. |
