Description

I am a posthumanist philosopher specializing in the Philosophy of Technology, Gender and Sexuality, Eastern Philosophy, and Existentialism. My work focuses on the relationship between our humanity and technology, as well as the power dynamics inherent in sexuality and gender. My work with eastern philosophy includes exploring the relationship of mindfulness and our use of technology, as well as the intersections among suffering, our technological systems of use, and the rise of artificial intelligence.

I am currently an Emeritus Professor of Philosophy, after serving for 18 years as the Director of Philosophy at Western Colorado University, where I developed, managed, and oversaw all aspects of curriculum development, management, and assessment. I actively taught in higher education for a total of 25 years, and have had well over 10,000 students in my career.

In terms of my research, I am the author of _Posthuman Suffering and the Technological Embrace_, and have been published in various print and online anthologies, and have been cited internationally in over two-dozen books, articles, anthologies, dissertations, and masters theses
