José Barrientos-Rastrojo, Spain: “Philosophical Practice with Vulnerable Populations”

José Barrientos-Rastrojo is Full Professor at the University of Seville (Spain). He began to work as Philosophical Counselor in 2000. He has leaded several international projects including BOECIO project (that work with more than two thousands of people with vulnerabilities), KRINEIN (Philosophical Practice for volunteers and NGOs) and SENECA (Philosophical Practice for Elders). He has supervised more than 50 Ph.D., Master Theses and Undergraduate Thesis. In addition, he has published more than 30 books. One of the last ones explains more than 25 workshops of Philosophical Practice (Experiential Philosophical Practice and Prisons). He has research at Harvard University, Princeton University, Cambridge University, The University of Tokyo and the University of Sao Paulo, among others. Currently, Barrientos-Rastrojo is editor of the International Journal for Philosophical Practice HASER and he is creating DIOGENES, the International Network for Philosophical Practice with Vulnerable Populations.
