Susi Ferrarello, PhD, author of The Ethics of Love: Emotional Dilemmas for a Relational Life (Routledge 2022), is a philosopher and public scholar specializing in phenomenology and (bio)ethics. She is currently based in California, where she works as an associate professor at California State University East Bay. She lectures and writes on the intersections of lived experience, moral agency, and embodied transformation. Among her recent books is The Phenomenology of Pregnancy and Early Motherhood (Routledge 2024). In addition to her academic work, Susi is a certified philosophical counselor and advocate for integrative, holistic approaches to maternal mental health. She writes for Psychology Today in her column, Lying on the Philosopher’s Couch.
